This is my entry for this month’s Memories Captured link-up, hosted by Galit Breen of These Little Waves and Alison of Mama Wants This. Take a moment to head over and view the rest of the submissions. They are always breathtaking and delightful!

  1. I LOVE the variation of innocent looks on Caroline’s face. And Chewie. Dogs will always eat mud pies. 🙂

    • Totally. She was like STUNNED that I was mad at her. And then she was getting ready to rinse off, and I said, “Don’t move. I’m taking pictures. You look hilarious.”

  2. That is just awesome! The cutest “little” girl with the cutest dress and then the mud pie hands. Love this!

  3. At least the dog was there to help lick up anything that got on her cute dress!

  4. Your girl’s pretty cute, muddy hands and all. I’m stunned that the dress isn’t covered with mud. She’s also lucky. 🙂

  5. SOOOOO adorable! Put her in a big tub full of salt – I hear it acts as a great preserver!

  6. Love how you did this!! She’s gorgeous.

  7. She is very cute and yet again I find myself wondering when faced with more evidence with what children do with their ‘good’ clothes, why parents insist on buying dry clean only. Daft folk. 😉

  8. That is hilarious – I can’t believe how much mud is on her hands! One of mine would be totally grossed out by it. The other would be totally into it!

  9. Just like lemonade stands, mud pies are a rite of summer. Love the expression on Caroline’s face… priceless.

  10. I would have never imagine her hands gooped in mud from those first two pictures! And her expression IS priceless. The last picture made me LOL. Love the way you told a story with those pictures!

  11. Is there ever a bad time for mudpies! I mean especially when you are wearing your mudpie making dress! Love the pictures and love that you made her wait so you could snap the pics.

  12. She’s beautiful, Jessie, and the mud – good thing – didn’t make it to the dress!

  13. I love these pics!! So pretty, and SO classic!
Also, I haven’t been by in a while, just wanted to say I love the new look!

  14. Haha…why can’t they ever understand they shouldn’t make such messes in their good clothes? She’s beautiful.
